summer camps and intensives

Lundstrum Performing Arts is excited to offer three summer musical theater intensive programs for different age ranges. Classes in musical theater technique (dance, music, vocal, acting, stagecraft, blocking, choreography and scene work) are taught by professional performers and teaching artists. Each camp culminates in a performance(s) and includes live orchestra, costumes, sets and makeup. 

 


how to succeed in business without really trying

ages 13-19 

July 10 – August 6, 2017 (Mon-Fri) 9:30 am - 4:30 pm

 


"How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying" opened on Broadway in 1961 and received a  Pulitzer Prize and seven Tony Awards including Best Musical! Music by Frank Loesser and book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert. This hilarious comedy concerns young, ambitious J. Pierrepont Finch, who, with the help of a little book rises from window washer to chairman of the board. Come join the cast in this entertaining comedy as they sing and dance their way through the World Wide Wicket Company. 

Directed by Lundstrum faculty Chrissy Fournier, original Broadway cast member.


mary poppins 

ages 8-13

June 12 – 30, 2017 (Mon-Fri) 10 am - 4 pm

 

Everyone's favorite "practically perfect" nanny takes the stage in this Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious musical adventure. Come join the cast while we Step in Time across the rooftops of London and link arms in the magical world of Mary Poppins!

Directed by Lundstrum faculty Kathleen Bloom.

seuss on the loose 

Ages 5-8

June 12 – 23, 2017 (Mon-Fri) 10 am - 12:00 pm

 

A musical adaption of favorite Dr. Seuss stories where students learn tap, jazz, hip-hop, ballet, singing and other fundamentals of musical theater. This camp ends in a classroom performance for friends and family. Taught by the talented and nurturning Katie Wodele! Don't miss your chance to be a a part of this enchanting tale.

SUMMER EVENING CLASSES

Summer evening classes are hour long themed classes for those students who aren't able to commit to  a full length summer intensive or camp. Most summer evening classes culminate in an in-studio performance.
