Meet our new Director of Development!
Lundstrum Performing Arts warmly welcomes Christine Meyer as our new Director of Development. In her new role, she is responsible for crafting and executing the fundraising strategy to support the organization’s mission and growth.
Christine is the founder of She Climbs Mountains, a nonprofit organization that creates community for motherless daughters. She herself lost her mother from ovarian cancer when she was 15. She earned her B.A. in sociology from St. Olaf College in 1997 and worked in email marketing sales and then managed a home renovation business before forming She Climbs Mountains. Her community service includes serving as PTA president at Emmet D. Williams Elementary in Shoreview and as vice president and president of the Minnesota Families for Midwifery board.
Christine’s two oldest children participated in the summer program at Lundstrum when they were younger, where she says she witnessed the positive impact the program had on her daughters. She is particularly excited to join Lundstrum as the organization expands its programming and facilities.
“The Lundstrum team is amazing,” she says. “Everyone has so many talents and skills and it’s exciting to work and connect with so many accomplished people on a daily basis. I’m also excited to grow and learn both personally and professionally in this new role. There is amazing energy and possibility around making connections with artists, students, parents, and supporters who are a part of this community, as well as introducing more people to this community.”
All of us at Lundstrum look forward to our next chapter with Christine as our Director of Development. Welcome!
