Spring Extension: Intermediate-level dance classes
Tuesday April 2 - Thursday April 25

Lundstrum Performing Arts’ spring extension classes are a great opportunity for students to sharpen their skills. Before the busy summer season starts, these classes allow students to reach new heights and put their best foot forward. Rigorous and energizing classes are taught by the area’s top industry professionals and expand students’ knowledge of dance and performance.

Intermediate Technique Classes (Ages 12 -17)

Contemporary/Modern Intermediate
Nieya Amezquita
Ages 12-17
Tuesdays 4:30-5:45 pm
$75/4 weeks

Nieya holds a BFA in Dance and a BS in Psychology from the University of Georgia. After dedicating herself to the arts, she received opportunities to perform and choreograph both nationally and internationally throughout the years. Now she finds a home in Minneapolis dancing professionally with Threads Dance Project, teaching modern in the Lundstrum community, currently artistic director of Amez Dance.

Jazz Intermediate
Aili Kotnik
Ages 12-17
Tuesdays 5:45-7:00 pm
$75/4 weeks

I offer a wide, yet well-balanced set of talents due to a richly varied background in which I've been able to blend my passion for creative arts and culture with my aptitude for marketing, communication, and technology. My intent is to continue cultivating all of these skills as well as to make a positive impact on the world.

Musical Theater Intermediate
Andrea Mislan
Ages 12-17
Thursdays 4:30 - 6:00 pm
$90/4 weeks

Andrea is a graduate from Canada’s Royal Winnipeg Ballet Professional Division, she has continued to evolve in contemporary and musical theater styles. Her credits include: The Ordway “Smokey Joes’s Cafe”, Cirque du Soleil’s “Viva Elvis,” and “Chicago” (International tour), Guthrie Theater “West Side Story,” “Guys and Dolls’,” “Cyrano de Bergerac,” Chanhassen Dinner Theaters “Holiday Inn,” “Music Man,” and currently “Jersey Boys.”

Tap Intermediate
Rick Ausland
Ages 12-17
Thursdays 6:00 - 7:00 pm
$60/4 weeks

Rick began dancing and drumming at the age of 3 and has been involved in the Twin Cites dance community since 1981. As a youth, he studied ballet, jazz, tap, hip-hop and partner dancing at Larkin Dance Studio for 15 years. He founded Buckets and Tap Shoes with his brother Andy. Rick teaches tap all across the Twin Cities. Currently producing Storage Unit Chronicles at Sheldon Theatre.
