Best of 2021

As we reflect back on 2021, we’ve never been more grateful for our friends and supporters, who help our kids celebrate their gifts and dream of a bright future. It’s been an unforgettable year, but through it all, our community has worked together to give our students the opportunity to joyfully create and grow.

We continued our unique training program and showcased student talent virtually.

We got Creative!

Utilizing green screens, we shared virtual showcases for our community.

We stayed safe!

With new safety protocols, we provided a creative outlet to our students.

We celebrated the power of the arts to unite us!

With support from our community, we hosted our 21st Annual Fundraising Gala as a virtual event. With your help, we raised over $200,000 for our scholarship fund!

We stayed engaged with our community and partner schools

Lundstrum student Briana-Marie performs for the public downtown during Pianos on Parade,

Students at Franklin Middle School learned drumming patterns from Shane Ellis this summer. Mr. Patrick and Minika Warden taught hip hop to students for the second half of the class.

This summer, students performed in two Colorful musicals

For our June Musical Theater Intensive, students worked on technique and filmed Seussical Jr. before a green screen. Our virtual audience watched from home, entering into a hilarious world where characters help others and stand up for what they believe.

In August, we returned to live performance!

Bye Bye Birdie marked our return to live performance after two years of virtual performances. It was the culmination of four weeks of hard work on the part of our older students and it was so wonderful to see our students return to the stage in this upbeat classic.

We hosted our annual Inspiring Dreams Breakfast in October. Lundstrum alum and current faculty DiShae Sanders spoke about the impact Lundstrum has had on her life.

“I loved being able to find out who I really am. Every time I did a show with Lundstrum, it was filled with so many memories.”

We finished the year on a high note!

In our Fall 2021 Showcase performances, Lundstrum students shone brightly! They performed musical theater staples from classic Broadway shows like The Lion King, Tap Dance Kid, A Chorus Line, and Annie. We are so proud of their hard work!

Thank you

for another magical year! We couldn’t do what we do without your support.

Join us this January!
