Throughout its history, Lundstrum has been blessed to work with faculty members who left a lasting mark on our organization and the lives of our students. We’re thankful to these beautiful artist and their tireless efforts on behalf of our students.
Laurie Casserly Coleman
Founding Director of Ballet Program and Advanced Ballet Instructor 2000-2017
Laurie established Lundstrum’s ballet curriculum that is the foundation for Lundstrum’s dance program. In addition, she taught gifted ballet students ages 8-19 for many years. Laurie is a classically trained ballerina, who performed with the Minnesota Dance Theatre, the Boston Ballet, the City Ballet, Harkness Repertory Ensemble in New York and other companies in the U.S. and Canada. Over the years she has been featured in many roles from Loyce Houlton’s acclaimed Nutcracker Fantasy, including The Arabian. As an actor, she has starred on stage at the Pantages Theater in The Foreigner (directed by Steve Moore) and at the Ordway Theater as Gertie in Oklahoma with John Schneider. Movies include; The First of May, A Chance of Snow, as well as 3 Days of Rain and the NBC miniseries Kingpin, Homeland Security.
Peggy O’Connell
Founding Acting Director and Instructor, 2000-2012
Peggy was the first to head up the acting department at Lundstrum in 2000 and had a tremendous impact on early programming and teaching. During her tenure, Peggy mentored many a student to and through successful careers, not only by coaching them but by providing the opportunities for professional advancement. Peggy also directed many shows at Lundstrum including The Magic Mrs. Piggle Wiggle (2006, 2013) and Bye Bye Birdie (2010). A graduate of the Stella Adler School in New York, Peggy has performed on Broadway with Tommy Tune as Mickey in My One & Only. Her extensive regional credits include The Guthrie (Jane Eyre, Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Christmas Carol), Seattle Children’s Theater (The Magic Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle, Hello Dolly), Minnesota Opera (Kiss Me Kate, Don Pasquale), Chanhassen Dinner Theater (Always Patsy Cline, Annie Get Your Gun), The Tacoma’s Actor’s Guild (Guys and Dolls) and Seattle Repertory Theatre (Sundays in the Park with George, Harvey). Her film and television credits include Merry Kiss Cam (2022), The Sand Box (2016), Thin Ice (2011) and Northern Exposure (1993-1994).

Patrick Moore, 1971-2022
Musical Theater Instructor, Choreographer, Founder of Lundstrum’s Hip Hop Company, and Director of Community Outreach and Mentorship
Known as “Mr. Patrick” to his students, Patrick Moore was a triple-threat performer, choreographer and mentor, who sang, danced and acted his way through a 35-year career in the performing arts. Beyond his exceptional performing talent, Patrick had a unique ability to connect with students of every age and background. A native of St. Louis, Missouri, he credited the Katherine Dunham Center for the Performing Arts for igniting his love of the craft. Mr. Patrick’s professional performing credits included The Wiz, Five Guys Named Moe, Smokey Joe’s Café, Sophisticated Ladies and Black Nativity. In addition, he choreographed and worked beside many national recording artists and finalists for the television show So You Think You Can Dance. Patrick leaves a powerful legacy of gift for encouraging students and “finding a way” for our youth.
