Senior Manager of Development

Salary Range: $75,000-$90,000
Job Purpose: Support Lundstrum Performing Arts’ mission of discovering talent and inspiring dreams through the performing arts. Advance the organizational mission by crafting and executing the fundraising strategies to support our mission and growth. This senior position requires an experienced and proactive leader to work with board, volunteers and staff to secure the financial resources necessary to sustain programs and expand impact.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Fundraising Leadership and Management:
· With senior leadership, design and implement a comprehensive fundraising plan.
· Collaborate internally to develop budgets, monitor and forecast revenue and expenses, and drive financial results.
· Manage and support board members, volunteers and staff team to fulfill their goals.
Annual Fundraising and Grants
· Create strategy for large and sustained base of annual grants, sponsorships and individual donations.
· Direct and execute strong, consistent, relational major gifts program and grow planned giving program, participating in special fundraising initiatives as needed.
· Spearhead grant seeking process including research, proposal writing, and reporting requirements, focusing on both operational and programmatic grants.
· Oversee the organization and execution of key fundraising events, maximizing their revenue potential and ensuring they align with our community and artistic values.
· Design and implement annual giving strategies, including online giving and direct mail
· Manage the implementation of Salesforce CRM and oversee staff responsible for prompt and accurate data entry and gift processing.
Development and Philanthropic Communications
· Build and cultivate strong relationships with a diverse group of donors and prospective donors, including individuals, foundations, and corporate entities.
· Manage donor communications through tactics that support the overall communications plan, managing donor communications in written and online vehicles
Budgeting & Reporting
· Assist the Director of Development with budget tracking, financial reporting, and revenue projections.
· Monitor fundraising performance metrics and recommend data-informed strategies for improvement.

Qualifications - What we are looking for:
· Commitment to organization mission
· Strong track record of achieving tangible fundraising outcomes in a competitive field.
· Three+ years of professional experience in nonprofit fundraising, experience with the arts or educational sectors preferred.
· Demonstrated success in managing and forging relationships with institutional and individual donors.
· Experience in planning and leading strategic fundraising initiatives, including grantwriting, major gifts, events; capital campaign experience a plus.
Qualifications, continued
· Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, capable of working with diverse groups including staff, students, donors, and board members.
· Strong organizational skills, with a proven ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines.
· Proficient in using fundraising technology and donor databases, with a keen understanding of data-driven fundraising strategies.
· Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or comparable professional experience; Advanced degree in Arts Administration, Nonprofit Management, or related field is a plus.
· Ability to work effectively with people of diverse backgrounds and needs.
· Available some evenings and weekends for selected campaign events.
