Susan Casserly Kosel
Director of Vocal Program
Susan serves as Director of Vocal Program at Lundstrum Performing Arts, building on her interest in working with children and developing adolescent voices. She teaches private and group voice lessons, vocal performance and stage movement for singers.
Susan is a veteran performer whose experience ranges from opera and operetta to nightclub, pop, folk and musical comedy. She has sung with Minnesota Opera, Opera St. Paul, Baltimore Opera. Favorite roles include Corrilla in Viva La Mamma, Rosalinda in Die Fledermaus, Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, Gianetta in The Gondoliers and the title role in Patience. As a club singer, she performed at venues throughout the U.S. and Canada. Susan’s teaching experience includes the University of Minnesota’s Summer Musical Theater Intensive and Gifted & Talented program for teens as well as Minnesota Opera residencies across the state.
Kerry Casserly Carter
Artistic Director
As Artistic Director, Kerry is on Lundstrum faculty and guides the overall vision of Lundstrum Performing Arts’ musical theater training programs and performances. She coaches individual performers to hone their triple threat skills as well as choreographing and directing multiple productions.
Kerry performed professionally on Broadway in New York for 23 years under the industry's most renowned directors and choreographers, including Michael Bennett, Tommy Tune, Bob Fosse, Martin Charnin and Peter Gennaro. She performed in Pippin, A Chorus Line, Annie, My One and Only, Annie Warbucks and Sophisticated Ladies. Kerry has served on the faculty at New York University, American Musical and Dramatic Academy NYC, University of Minnesota, the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, and is currently an adjunct professor at St. Catherines teaching theater dance. Her TV and film credits include appearances in All That Jazz, Baryshnikov on Broadway, David Letterman, Guiding Light. Kerry has directed and choreographed A Chorus Line for Music Theater Wichita Casa Manana (Fort Worth Texas). Kerry choreographed A Chorus Line at Seattle’s 5th Avenue Theatre in 2014. Most recently Kerry co-directed and choreographed Ordway's production of A Chorus Line in 2016. She is a proud member of SSDC and the Actor’s Equity Association.
Laurie Casserly Coleman
Ballet Instructor
Laurie is the anchor for Lundstrum Performing Arts’ ballet program, working with gifted students of all ages.
A classically trained ballerina, Laurie has performed with the Minnesota Dance Theatre, the Boston Ballet, the City Ballet, Harkness Repertory Ensemble in New York and other companies in the U.S. and Canada. She danced The Arabian in Loyce Houlton’s acclaimed Nutcracker Fantasy, and over the years has been featured in many roles from this classic production. As an actor, she has appeared in television movies such as The First of May and A Chance of Snow. She also had roles in 3 Days of Rain and the NBC miniseries Kingpin, Homeland Security.
Amy Casserly Ellis
Executive Director
Amy is the Executive Director for Lundstrum Performing Arts, passionately leading the strategic vision with overall responsibility for program excellence and mission-driven partnerships. She is part of the artistic team as well, directing, casting and choreographing Lundstrum professional productions.
Amy’s career in New York includes theater, television, and commercial work. She is a member of Actor’s Equity & SAG-AFTRA. Highlights include Pepsi with Michael Jackson, Val (A Chorus Line). She worked with Greg and Maurice Hines at the Perry Street Theater, Michael Peters, Peter Gennaro, Frank Hatchett, JoJo Smith and Professor Greg Ganakas (NYU). Amy co-produced A Call for Bread at Madison Square Garden with Betty Buckley, Harold Nicholas and J. Elaine Marcos. Her teaching experience includes Broadway Dance, STEPS, American Musical and Dramatic Academy (NYC), Gus Giordano's (Chicago) and University of Minnesota. Regionally, Amy has appeared in A Chorus Line, How to Succeed in Business, 42nd Street, Crazy for You and Oklahoma at the Ordway and the Iveys.
Jane Casserly McMonagle
Director of Dance
Jane serves as Director of Dance at Lundstrum Performing Arts, teaching ballet and musical theatre repertoire in the Conservatory program.
Jane’s credits include: Judy Turner in A Chorus Line (Broadway National Tour), Magic in the Mirror Seoul, South Korea (Baayork Lee), Good News at North Shore Music Theater, A Chorus Line and 42nd Street Chanhassen Dinner Theater, My Fair Lady and Merry Widow Minnesota Opera, Ordway Theater, Ivey Awards/State Theater. Jane’s master classes and choreography: Michele Assaf of Broadway Dance Center, NYC, U of Wisconsin, Madison, U of MN, and Concordia University.
