Lundstrum Summer Shows: Frozen Jr. and Legally Blonde the Abridged Musical
Lundstrum Performing Arts is excited to present Frozen Jr. and Legally Blonde the Abridged Musical this July and August. Both musical productions are a culmination of three weeks of intense work by students ages 8-17 from the Northside and surrounding metro area. Lundstrum’s unique summer musical theater intensive program combines a morning of rigorous technique training in voice, dance and acting with afternoon rehearsals of the play. When students come to Lundstrum, they not only put on a full musical in under three weeks, they participate in a larger learning process to help them grow as artists. It truly is a fully comprehensive and enriching experience.
Under the direction of Katie Wodele, Frozen Jr. follows sisters Anna and Elsa, who live in the mythical land of Arendale. After the loss of their parents, Anna and Elsa are forced to grow-up and, sadly, grow apart. But when Elsa is revealed to possess magical power over ice and snow, Anna sets off on a wondrous journey (accompanied by a delightful band of friends) to save her sister from herself.
Directed by Kathleen Bloom, Legally Blonde the Abridged Musical presents sorority member Elle Woods taking law school by storm! After Elle’s picture-perfect life takes an unexpected turn, she decides to reinvent herself by applying to Harvard Law School. When she gets accepted, Elle embarks on a musical journey to discovering her true worth, potential and dreams.

Optional program extension with LifeEdge Solutions, snacks provided. Taking place every Thursday from 4 pm to 5 pm, this casual, uplifting and informative after-class session offers real-life skills about communication and choices with friends and peers in a relaxed and fun atmosphere.
Thursdays, 4:00 p.m. -5:00 p.m. This program is free and open to all young people ages 12-17.
